Summary

The customer is a sports betting company based in South Africa. The company offers betting on horse racing, football/soccer, cricket, rugby, tennis, motorsport and more. It provides betting via its website, mobisite, call center, and USSD. The company was ranked number 8 on the list of the Top 50 Gaming Sites Worldwide in 2019.

The project is the development and improvement of the betting platform.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining user-facing features using React.js;
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers;
  • Maintaining and implementing code and design standards;
  • Mentoring other React developers.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Front-end developer for 5+ years;
  • Strong JavaScript skills, including working with DOM and JavaScript object model;
  • Experience with React, React Hooks, Redux;
  • Knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, CSS;
  • Experience writing unit tests (Jest, React-Testing library);
  • Experience with RESTful API;
  • Familiarity with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token;
  • Experience in betting;
  • Level of English – Upper-Intermediate or above.
