Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Data Engineer to join its team on a project in the field of FinTech.

The customer provides various banking services in Azerbaijan. It has the widest network of branches throughout the country, providing services to more than 5 million individuals and more than 25,000 legal entities. The organization cooperates with leading international financial institutions, such as Citibank N.A., Standard Chartered, Commerzbank AG, HSBC Bank, KBC Group, World Savings Banks Institute, etc.

The project is a migration of the system from the old environment to a new corporate data model for the entire bank.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Data Engineer for 4+ years.
  • Experience with the OSS of the DE stack for 2+ years.
  • Solid experience with SQL queries on PostgreSQL/Oracle/Greenplum/ClickHouse databases.
  • Strong experience with Python/OOP.
  • Experience with BigData: Spark/MinIO/Hadoop/Hive.
  • Deep understanding of ETL/ELT processes and how to organize them.
  • Experience with data virtualization (Trino).
  • Deep experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Mentoring experience.
  • Excellent knowledge in optimizing SQL queries/table views in RDBMS.
  • Experience in integrating CDC solutions.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience with creating data models: Data Vault/Snowflake.
  • Experience with AWS.
