PL/SQL Developer

Summary

Andersen, an international IT company, invites a PL/SQL Developer to work on a project in the field of FinTech for one of our Austrian customers.

The customer is a global B2B2C insurance and assistance leader offering global solutions that span international health and life insurance, travel insurance, automotive and maintenance. The company offers high-tech products and solutions that go beyond traditional insurance and are easily integrated into partners' businesses or sold directly to clients through the company's brands.

The project focuses on the collection of aggregated financial and user data across the customer's business.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing database structures (tables, views, indexes).
• Developing and optimizing PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages.
• Writing and tuning complex SQL queries for data manipulation.
• Analyzing and resolving performance issues using Oracle tools.
• Automating data processing and conducting unit testing.
• Debugging PL/SQL code and maintaining documentation.
• Collaborating with DBAs, developers, and analysts to gather requirements.
• Participating in code reviews and supporting production environments.
• Ensuring data security and managing user roles.
• Integrating databases with other systems and using Oracle front-end tools (Forms, Reports, APEX).
• Staying current with Oracle technologies and participating in training.

Requirements

• Experience as a PL/SQL Developer for 3+ years.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming and Oracle database management.
• Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Knowledge of data modeling and database normalization.
• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques and tools.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
