Summary

The IT-company Andersen invites a Senior C++ Game Developer to work on a large-scale project for an European customer.

The customer is an independent European video game developer and publisher established in 2002. It has offices in Germany, Cyprus, Hungary and Latvia with hundreds of talented developers. With a diverse portfolio that has received multiple industry accolades, the company is recognized for its innovative approach to game development.

The project is to participate in the development of online games for PC, consoles and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Developing the new and supporting the existing functionality in languages: C++, daScript , Quirrel.
  • Optimizing the code.
  • Reviewing the code.

Requirements

  • General programming experience from 3 years.
  • Commercial or non-commercial experience in game development.
  • Knowledge of linear algebra (vectors, matrices).
  • Knowledge of C and C++.
  • Experience in the gaming industry and desire to make games.
  • Systemic thinking and a high degree of self-organization.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience with SCRUM methodology, using YouTrack or Jira.
  • Experience applying Data-oriented Design to game systems, experience with Entity Component Systems.
  • Experience with XBox One, XBox Series X, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and other consoles.
