QA Engineer (Mobile)

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a QA Engineer (Mobile) to join its team for working with a company from Kazakhstan.

The customer is the market leader and the largest microfinance organisation in Kazakhstan. It represents a business model of a classic microfinance organization, successfully adapted to the economy of Kazakhstan, focused on financing micro and small businesses, predominantly in rural areas. The company is focused on building long-term partnership relationships with clients based on mutual trust, understanding, and respect.

The project involves a comprehensive transformation where the company is restructuring its processes to transition into a fully operational bank. This endeavor includes significant improvements to the software used by employees in their interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

• Performing software testing.
• Discussing patches with all development participants.
• Tracking the patching process.
• Maintaining test documentation.

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer for 6+ months.
• Experience in mobile testing.
• Experience working with databases (any, e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Proficiency in SQL for writing intermediate-level queries (ability to retrieve any information from the database for testing without involving a programmer).
• Ability to work with sending requests via Postman/Swagger, received from a developer.
• Understanding of Git/Bitbucket and ability to work with Git through the terminal.
• Experience in writing test documentation.
• Understanding of CI principles.
• Ability to decompose complex tasks and large technical specifications.
• Understanding the principle of one of the design patterns of automated tests.
• Support existing tests.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum).
• Experience working with JIRA.
• Ability to conduct presentations, compose and deliver reports.
• Level of English – from Intermediate.

Desired skills

• Ability to work with data logging systems.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming principles (any language, e.g., C+, Java, Python, etc.).
• Ability to work with development tools (editors, IDEs).
