Android TV Developer

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an Android TV Developer to work on a project in the field of Media and Telecom.

The customer is an innovative multimedia platform that transcends traditional online cinema. It offers a unique blend of high-quality content, including movies, series, educational programs, and cloud gaming, all accessible through a subscription model.

The project involves developing and enhancing the multimedia platform to ensure a seamless and rich user experience.

Technology stack: Android TV, Jetpack Compose (TV), Jetpack Navigation, MVVM, Coroutines, ExoPlayer3, Retrofit.

Responsibilities

• Developing a Launcher, for a TV running Open Android.
• Creating the main screens and interface elements (home screen, application menu, settings, etc.).
• Implementing navigation functions and switching between applications.
• Interacting with Android TV system services to get the list of installed applications, control media playback, etc.
• Integrating RESTful API.
• Working with WebSocket.

Requirements

• Commercial development experience on Android for 3+ years.
• Experience with Android TV.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose (TV) and Jetpack Navigation.
• Knowledge of MVVM architectural pattern for code structuring.
• Experience with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Knowledge and experience with ExoPlayer3.
• Experience with RESTful API integration using Retrofit.
• Good communication skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Knowledge and experience with WebSocket.
