QA Mobile Engineer

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced QA Mobile Engineer to work on a large-scale eCommerce project.

The customer is a multinational company headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, and it operates in more than 130 countries worldwide. With a focus on quality, innovation, and sustainability, it is committed to meeting the evolving needs of adult tobacco consumers.

The project is the development of the eCommerce platform for delivering reduced-risk products. This branch started as a start-up inside the client's business and has grown in a separate direction.

Responsibilities

• Defining requirements and document dependencies, edge cases, and network conditions.
• Conducting stakeholder interviews and clarifying mobile-specific functional needs.
• Creating and maintaining test cases in Allure TestOps or similar tools.
• Validating integrations (APIs, push notifications, deep linking, biometrics, in-app purchases).
• Ensuring app functionality across devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions.
• Testing performance under various network conditions (2G/3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, offline).
• Participating in E2E validation for mobile-to-backend workflows.
• Maintaining test suites for new OS versions and app updates.
• Validating failed test automation runs in CI/CD pipelines.
• Estimating, prioritizing, and planning mobile testing activities.
• Reviewing user stories, providing QA feedback, and tracking key metrics (crash rates, defects).
• Identifying QA process bottlenecks and proposing improvements.
• Logging and tracking mobile-specific issues (device, OS compatibility).
• Reporting and analyzing mobile-related defects, supporting business teams.
• Troubleshooting using logs (adb/Xcode, console output).
• Collaborating with product teams, developers, and automation engineers.

Requirements

• QA experience, preferably in Mobile Application testing (iOS and Android), ideally in eCommerce or consumer apps, for 3+ years.
• Experience with native mobile platforms (Android, iOS), including understanding of OS-specific behaviors and device-specific testing.
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile teams for mobile projects.
• Knowledge of Mobile CI/CD pipelines, versioning systems, mobile build management tools (e.g., Bitrise, Fastlane).
• Proficiency in verifying UI/UX flow, business logic validation, and mobile-specific functional scenarios.
• Basic understanding of mobile app architectures (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Familiarity with REST API integration in mobile applications.
• Knowledge of push notification mechanisms (Firebase, APNS).
• Understanding of app security principles, including token-based authentication, encryption, and secure storage.
• Basic experience with analytics and logging tools (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry).
• Understanding of app distribution processes (TestFlight, Google Play Internal Testing).
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Detox, Espresso, XCTest).
• Familiarity with Playwright/Mobile Web testing.
• Experience with AEM and Builder.io.
• Domain experience in FMCG/E-commerce mobile applications.
• Understanding of JTI processes and mobile deployment workflows.
