Scrum Master

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a Scrum Master to work on a large-scale project for one of our Canadian partners.

The customer is a luxury travel technology and procurement company with industry-leading booking platforms that enhance the efficiency of travel professionals and maximize their revenue opportunities. The company handles over $1 billion in transactions annually and has a team of 2,200+ travel experts.

The project is an actual web platform (travel services industry) for clients in the North American market.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating a deep understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies.
• Ensuring Jira ticket conformity across all teams for efficient data analysis, resourcing, and initiative tracking.
• Managing project trackers, Jira dashboards, and Confluence structures.
• Tracking team capacity, sprint velocity, and progress toward sprint goals.
• Managing the day-to-day project activities and resources while chairing team meetings.
• Providing status updates regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Collaborating with Product Owners and other stakeholders to prioritize work requests, maintain product backlogs, and align delivery timelines.
• Creating and updating release plans in collaboration with Product Owners.
• Working with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts, anticipate challenges, identify risks, and recommend mitigations.
• Providing guidance and coaching on Scrum best practices.
• Fostering an open environment for communication and problem-solving.
• Leading retrospectives and promoting team bonding.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements.
• Developing strong partnerships with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Directors of Development.
• Collaborating with other SM to share and implement best practices.

Requirements

• Experience as a Scrum Master for 2+ years.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies with hands-on experience facilitating ceremonies.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and Agile tracking tools.
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders across Business, Delivery, and IT.
• Excellent conflict resolution, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of release management processes and risk mitigation.
• Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Certification in Scrum (e.g., CSM, PSM) or Agile methodologies.
• Experience coaching teams to higher Scrum maturity levels.
• Experience in software development or quality assurance.
