System Administrator

Summary

Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced System Administrator to work in a field of Aviation.

The customer is a Spanish company that develops and provides digital services and entertainment on board airplanes. Since 2013 it has collaborated with more than 45 airlines around the world. It has received investments from companies such as Boeing HorizonX Ventures and Nekko Capital. The company serves more than 20 million passengers per year and has more than 1000 installed systems on board airplanes.

The project is focused on managing the integration of the customer's hardware systems and ensuring the airworthiness of entertainment and connectivity systems on aircraft. It involves the collection of extensive data during flights, which is then centralized to the server whenever the aircraft lands.

Responsibilities

• Owning the integration process of the customer’s hardware system solutions for connectivity and entertainment.
• Conducting extensive testing and identifying potential risks associated with connectivity and entertainment systems to ensure their safe and reliable function under various conditions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Linux for 5+ years.
• Experience with such tools as KVM, Kubernetes, Proxmox, Docker, Git, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Graylog, Ceph for 5+ years.
• Experience with Python, Bash, Ansible for 5+ years.
• Experience with networking knowledge: switching, firewalling, routing, VPN, security for 3+ years.
• Passion for open-source technology.
• Continuous learner with a strong sense of curiosity.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Skills in wireless communications.
• Experience working with physical servers in data centers.
