Lead Engineering Manager (Go)

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced person to fill the position of Lead Engineering Manager (Go) to work on a large-scale project in the field of Information Technology and Services.

The customer is an international passenger and cargo transportation service. It is among the top 3 mobile services for ordering rides in the world: 150 million installations, 1 billion trips, 600+ cities in 45 countries.

The project is the development of an application for international passenger, freight and long-distance transportation, courier delivery services, household and business solutions.

Responsibilities

• Leading and growing engineering teams, supporting new developers adaptation and career development.
• Managing project planning, execution, and resource allocation to ensure high-quality and on-time software delivery.
• Aligning engineering efforts with business goals through close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Developing and optimizing engineering processes, tools, and technologies in collaboration with the team.
• Building and nurturing a developer community within the company and participating in external conferences.
• Overseeing the use of core technologies, including Golang, Python, MySQL, Kubernetes to ensure efficient development practices.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in engineering management with a strong background in software development for 6+ years.
• Experience with any backend language.
• Experience as a Technical Lead.
• Solid understanding of high-volume projects, server and client architecture, and development limitations.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for explaining complex technical concepts by sharing your technical expertize.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and a commitment to ongoing skill development and teamwork.
• BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
