Senior Python Developer

Summary

Andersen, an international IT company, invites an experienced Python Developer to work on a project for one of our customers.

The customer is an international tech company has over 20 years of experience in telematics and IoT solutions. Their products are used in more than 160 countries to manage over 4.5 million vehicles and assets. The company focuses on innovation and excellence, continuously improving business processes for a secure and convenient future.

The project is focused on developing a next-generation platform for satellite fleet monitoring systems, utilizing a microservice architecture to ensure scalability and efficiency.

Technology stack on the project: FastAPI, RestAPI, Kubernetes, Redis, Linux PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and efficient Python applications.
• Designing and implementing robust backend solutions using the FastAPI framework.
• Optimizing application performance and ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams including frontend developers and product managers.
• Participating in architecture discussions and contributing to technical decision-making.
• Ensuring code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and continuous integration.
• Working with databases to design efficient data models and optimize queries.
• Integrating third-party APIs and services to enhance functionality.
• Designing, developing, and implementing brand new software solutions with a focus on low-latency and big data processing.
• Architecting and optimizing systems for real-time processing of large volumes of telematics data, enabling in-depth analysis and forecasting capabilities for enterprise-level usage.
• Taking part in planning at all levels, from weekly sprints to global initiatives.
• Conducting thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to maintain high code quality and adherence to standards.

Requirements

• Experience in the role of Python Developer for 3+ years.
• Proficient in using FastAPI to create high-performance web applications.
• Knowledge of RestAPI for integrating and exchanging data between client and server.
• Familiarity with Redis for caching and real-time data management.
• Proficient in Linux for application administration and development.
• Experience with PostgreSQL for database management.
• Experience with Tornado, Starlette, or other asynchronous frameworks.
• Level of English – from Intermediate.

Desired skills

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Competence in working with asynchronous libraries.
• Proficiency in writing unit-tests.
• Experience with NoSQL and NewSQL databases.
• Experience with big data; knowledge and understanding of methods of working with statistical data (in particular time-series).
• Understanding of authorization flow (cookies, jwt) and experience with authorization protocols (oAuth, SAML, LDAP).
