The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Data Engineer to join its team for working to work on a large-scale FinTech project.
The customer is a global leader in Engagement Banking offers an innovative platform that helps financial institutions modernize customer journeys and operations. Their omnichannel banking solutions support web and mobile banking, enabling quick innovation and feature launches. With a customer-centric approach, they prioritize essential customer journeys, eliminate silos, and empower both customers and employees.
The project is the design, development, and maintenance of Data as a Service (DaaS) platform on Azure.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable data infrastructure in Azure.
- Developing and managing data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources into the Data Lakehouse using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Ensuring data consistency, quality, and governance, adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Securing data platforms and ensuring compliance with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Implementing and optimizing big data processing solutions using Azure Synapse, Spark, and Databricks.
- Managing the Data Lakehouse environment, including Delta Lake, to support data analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Developing and maintaining secure streaming data pipelines using Azure Event Hubs and other streaming endpoints.
- Implementing secure data sharing within and outside the organization using Delta Sharing.
- Enabling data scientists and analysts by providing high-quality data for dashboards, AI/ML applications, and other data consumers.
Requirements
- Experience in data engineering, preferably in Azure Synapse, Spark, or Databricks for 5+ years.
- Strong hands-on experience in data pipeline development and ETL processes.
- Expertise in Data Lakehouse concepts and Delta Lake.
- Deep understanding of data domains, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in data governance and ensuring data quality.
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, PowerShell).
- Solid understanding of cloud data platforms and services in Azure.
- Level of English - from Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Azure data certifications (e.g., DP-200, DP-201).
- Knowledge of secure data practices and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
