Backend Developer (.NET, C#)

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Backend Developer (.NET, C#) to work on a large-scale project for one of our UK customers. This position involves business trips to London.

The customer is the world's largest P&C insurance company and the leading commercial lines insurer in the United States, with operations in 54 countries. It provides commercial and personal property-casualty insurance and supplemental health insurance. The company has administrative offices in Zurich, New York, London, Paris and elsewhere and employs approximately 40,000 people worldwide.

The project is the integration and development of the management system.

Technology stack on the project: C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, Visual Studio, VS Code, SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Azure Development, Table Storage, App Services, PaaS, APIM, Application Insights, OpenAPI, Swagger, CI/CD, Git.

Responsibilities

• Being at the forefront of architecture discussions, providing valuable contributions and feedback.
• Implementing APIs and backend services.
• Following high-level directions, actively shaping and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Collaborating with a team of Business Analysts and Developers, implementing user stories for robust backend services and software.
• Bringing a practical approach to performant solutions.
• Following the evidence with elusive bugs and going deep to resolve issues.
• Overseeing pull requests and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Upholding high standards of code quality and excellence.
• Advocating for initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality, security, and performance of the systems.
• Acting as an end-to-end owner participating in many aspects of the software (design, build, delivery).

Requirements

• Building large-scale applications in complex technical landscapes for 2+ years.
• Understanding and expertise in C#, with knowledge of the evolution and future plans of .NET.
• Experience with .NET Core and ASP .NET Core.
• Experience in constructing high-quality, high-performance backend services.
• Experienced in developing and owning backend APIs, with mastery in the entire API development lifecycle, OpenAPI Specification, and Swagger.
• Skills in building scalable cloud applications, with expertise in Azure Development, Table Storage, App Services, PaaS, APIM, and Application Insights.
• Proficient with Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Jira.
• Capable of solving complex problems, open-minded, and possesses critical thinking skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• MS Azure certifications.
