The IT-company Andersen invites a Lead System Analyst to work on a project for one of our Germany customers in the field of Insurance.
The customer is a global leader in insurance and assistance services, providing innovative and reliable solutions to individuals, families, and businesses around the world. With a strong presence in over 75 countries, it is committed to protecting and supporting its customers in their everyday lives.
The project is to implement a digital transformation of the customer's API infrastructure by defining the API architecture, designing and developing external APIs, and establishing appropriate management processes.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and analyzing user requirements for API.
- Analyzing the functional capabilities of existing APIs.
- Designing REST API in OpenAPI specification format.
- Creating a backlog of tasks for REST API development.
- Documenting user and functional requirements for REST API in the form of user stories, including detailed acceptance criteria.
- Modeling the domain area (entity-relationship diagrams), business processes and algorithms (UML activity diagrams), functional capabilities (UML use case diagrams), and service interactions (UML sequence diagrams).
- Creating user documentation for API consumers and publishing it on the developer portal.
- Conducting acceptance testing of REST API and maintaining API request collections.
- Demonstrating REST API functionality.
- Managing API access and onboarding new API consumers.
- Identifying gaps in the developer portal's functionality, creating a backlog of tasks for improvements, describing them, and conducting acceptance testing.
Requirements
- Commercial experience as a System Analyst for 3+ years.
- Strong understanding of REST API (preferably experience in designing REST API).
- Proficiency in Postman (ability to analyze and test API).
- Experience in documenting requirements in the user story format (story breakdown, defining acceptance criteria).
- Experience in modeling: UML (sequence diagrams, activity diagrams), ERD (business domain models).
- Strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information from multiple sources.
- Ability to modify a chosen approach in response to changing stakeholders, conditions, circumstances, and feedback.
- Ability to find common ground with colleagues, partners, and customers.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
