Summary

Andersen is hiring Business Analyst for a telecom project in Kazakhstan. The role involves supporting the transformation of the client’s BSS system, driving process optimization, vendor selection, and IT modernization.

The project is focused on supporting the client in the strategic transformation of its BSS system, including the preparation and execution of a full-cycle RFP process to select a new vendor. The goal is to enhance business flexibility, optimize operational processes, and modernize the IT landscape through a structured and expert-driven vendor selection approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing frameworks of questions for business functions.
• Conducting interviews with process owners, end users, and IT representatives.
• Gathering requirements across key BSS functions (CRM, Orders, Billing).
• Participating in alignment of functional aspects of integrations.
• Clarifying business interaction scenarios within BSS.
• Preparing and structuring “To-Be” requirements.
• Creating GAP matrices between current and target functionalities.
• Supporting alignment of changes with business stakeholders.
• Developing evaluation matrices for vendor solutions.
• Assessing vendor solutions against business and technical requirements.
• Organizing demos and gathering evidence.
• Preparing comparative GAP tables for shortlisted vendors.
• Evaluating coverage completeness and the need for customization.
• Providing input on processes/modules used for TCO calculation.
• Supporting dialogue between functional requirements and licensing models.
• Assisting in the final comparison: preparing “pro/con” tables and providing argumentation for deviations.

Requirements

• Experience as a Business Analyst in the telecom industry for 8+ years.
• Deep understanding and proven experience with BSS systems (Business Support Systems), including CRM, Billing, Product Catalog, and Order Management.
• Experience conducting Discovery phases, preparing ToR/RFP documentation, and performing GAP analyses.
• Experience in backlog management, task decomposition, and prioritization.
• Strong collaboration skills with business units (marketing, sales, customer service, billing) and technical teams.
• Experience conducting interviews and workshops with business stakeholders.
• Experience modeling business processes using BPMN, UML, and EPC.
• Strong documentation skills: preparation of ToR, use cases, and user stories.
• Experience analyzing requirements for compliance with vendor solutions.
• Knowledge of requirements management tools (at least Jira and Confluence).
• Participation in RFP processes: defining evaluation criteria, preparing questionnaires and checklists.
• Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
