Andersen is hiring a Java Developer in the EU for a German consultancy project. The role focuses on building compliance software, helping streamline processes and strengthen risk management.

The customer is a German consultancy, specializing in compliance and regulatory solutions for financial institutions. It delivers expertise in anti-financial crime, markets compliance, sustainable finance, and IT compliance, combining efficiency, transparency, and innovation to support banks, fintech, and public institutions, while helping them turn regulatory challenges into opportunities for growth.

The project supports a bank in developing new compliance software, combining regulatory expertise and digital solutions to streamline processes and strengthen risk management.

Responsibilities

• Developing customized software solutions for customers (banking domain).
• Integrating interfaces and connecting to existing systems.
• Implementing business requirements into high-performance IT solutions.
• Collaborating in conception, architecture, and testing.
• Closely collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and customers.

Requirements

• Completed a degree in computer science, business informatics, or comparable qualification.
• Experience as a Java Developer for 2+ years.
• Experience in developing web services/APIs (REST, SOAP).
• Basic understanding of databases and modern architectural approaches.
• Enjoyment of teamwork, analytical thinking, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

•  Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
