Business Analyst (USA/Canada/Mexico)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Business Analyst in the USA/Canada/Mexico to support an international insurance company. The role focuses on integrating OneShield into existing systems to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance operations.

The project is focused on integrating OneShield into the client’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment with existing systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and support business operations.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into OneShield configurations.
• Configuring and customizing workflows, rules, screens, and forms using OneShield Dragon Designer.
• Documenting functional specifications, process flows, and use cases to support development and QA teams.
• Collaborating with business users, underwriters, rating teams, and developers to align solutions with business goals.
• Supporting policy, billing, claims, and rating modules through configuration and enhancements.
• Coordinating with technical teams on integrations, including web services (REST/SOAP), third-party systems, and document generation.
• Validating system changes by executing functional testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Monitoring and analyzing defects, ensure timely resolution, and manage issue tracking through tools like JIRA.
• Participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Providing subject matter expertise on insurance workflows and policy administration processes.
• Assisting in deployment activities and post-production support.
• Maintaining clear documentation of lessons learned, configuration standards, and recurring issues.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant in insurance technology projects for 5+ years.
• Strong knowledge of insurance domain, especially Property & Casualty (P&C), Commercial, and Personal Lines.
• Hands-on experience with OneShield Enterprise / Dragon Designer for configuration, rules, and workflows.
• Understanding of policy administration, billing, claims, rating, and underwriting processes.
• Familiarity with system integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, third-party services, document management).
• Proven ability to document functional requirements, use cases, and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with both business and technical teams.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative delivery.
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing practices (functional, regression, UAT support).
• Ability to manage client expectations and prioritize tasks under deadlines.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
