Andersen is hiring a Software Architect for a major Kazakh bank. The project involves designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile and web apps with secure integrations.
The customer is one of the oldest and most reliable financial institutions in Kazakhstan, operating in the banking sector for over 30 years. It offers a full range of financial services for both individual and corporate clients, including business lending, mortgages, consumer loans, deposits, payment services, and digital banking solutions. The company focuses on reliability, innovation, and sustainable growth, helping clients achieve their financial goals and contributing to the country’s economic development.
The project is focused on designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile apps and a web admin panel. It includes authentication, biometrics, card tokenization, payments, and integrations with external systems, ensuring secure and scalable interaction through API Gateway, microservices, and Data Lake.
Responsibilities
- Developing the architectural vision of the solution.
- Defining interaction principles between the mobile application, API Gateway, microservices, Data Lake, and external systems.
- Designing and overseeing CI/CD processes, DevSecOps approaches, and Infrastructure as Code implementation.
- Designing secure data exchange, including encryption, tokenization, certification, and authentication.
- Defining SLA, SLO, and performance and reliability metrics.
- Leading architecture sessions, solution reviews, and technical audits.
- Mentoring development, DevOps, and analytics teams.
- Collaborating with product, security, and business teams.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Software Architect for 4+ years.
- Experience in designing distributed systems (microservices, event-driven architecture, CQRS, DDD).
- Deep knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, with understanding of JVM and asynchronous mechanisms.
- Experience in building API Gateway or Service Mesh solutions (Kong, Istio, NGINX).
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, and Helm.
- Understanding of API Management principles.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pulsar and stream data processing.
- Knowledge of OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Keycloak, Vault, PKI, TLS/mTLS.
- Experience integrating with external APIs and payment gateways.
- Understanding Observability tools and approaches (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK).
- Level of English – Intermediate and above.
