QA Engineer (EU)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer in the EU to test web and mobile banking applications. The role focuses on validating key user flows, integrations, and ensuring stable, seamless digital customer experiences.

The customer is a long-established universal bank that serves both private and corporate clients. It provides a wide range of financial services, including everyday banking, lending, investments, wealth management, and digital banking solutions. With several thousand employees and a nationwide presence, the organization combines a strong banking tradition with ongoing digital transformation to support customers reliably and sustainably.

The project is focused on testing web and mobile financial applications, including online banking interfaces and native iOS/Android apps. The key goal is to ensure a seamless, stable, and user-friendly experience across all platforms.

Responsibilities

• Performing requirements analysis, planning, and comprehensive testing to ensure seamless integration.
• Conducting regression, integration, and sanity testing to verify the stability of key banking functions after data migration and business process consolidation.
• Testing and validating modified and new business processes related to the customer lifecycle (onboarding, servicing, operations).
• Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects arising during the merger; collaborating closely with developers and business analysts for their prompt resolution.
• Testing new features across several concurrently running projects, including the core banking application, Process Flow Management system, online banking site, and native mobile applications.
• Developing, maintaining, and executing test documentation: test plans, test cases, checklists, and test scenarios tailored to each project's specifics.
• Participating in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, test planning, test execution, and reporting on testing outcomes.
• Performing comprehensive testing of the online banking web interface (UI, functionality, security, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility).
• Testing native mobile applications (iOS/Android): functionality, performance, usability (UX), and compatibility with different OS versions and devices.
• Verifying the correctness and efficiency of business processes implemented in Process Flow Management systems (e.g., loan origination, product application processes).
• Collaborating closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to maintain high-quality standards at all development stages.
• Participating in the improvement of quality assurance processes: implementing best practices, optimizing testing processes, and suggesting product enhancement ideas.

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Engineer within commercial software development for 2+ years.
• Experience in the financial sector, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Understanding of specific banking processes and terminology will be a significant advantage.
• Practical familiarity with GDPR and PSD2 regulatory requirements, as well as hands-on experience in compliance testing.
• Experience testing web interfaces (e.g., online banking), including UI/UX, functionality, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility checks.
• Experience testing native mobile applications (iOS/Android).
• Experience testing Business Process Management (Process Flow Management) systems, such as loan origination or product application processes.
• Understanding of principles and practical experience in integration testing of various systems.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
