Android Developer (EU)

Summary

Andersen is hiring an Android Developer in the EU for a major FinTech project. The role involves developing digital banking solutions and new lending features to improve customer experience.

The project is focused on developing new banking solution modules, including financial operations and reporting features, and implementing and customizing them for external clients.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining Android client applications as part of a cross-functional product team.
• Implementing new features and improving existing functionality in accordance with product requirements and UI/UX guidelines.
• Working with modular application architecture to ensure maintainability, scalability, and clear separation of responsibilities.
• Integrating application features with backend services via REST APIs.
• Applying Clean Architecture principles and chosen architectural patterns (MVVM/MVI/MVP) to ensure high code quality.
• Writing and maintaining unit tests and UI tests to ensure stable and reliable functionality.
• Collaborating closely with designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product managers during feature planning and development.
• Participating in code reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with engineering best practices.
• Contributing to the improvement of CI/CD workflows and optimizing development pipelines where needed.
• Documenting technical decisions, architectural solutions, and module structures.
• Taking part in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, grooming, demos, retrospectives).
• Ensuring application performance, security, and reliability across various Android devices and OS versions.

Requirements

• Experience in Android client application development for 3+ years.
• Commercial development experience with Kotlin and Java.
• Familiarity with Android Architecture Components, Clean Architecture, and Jetpack Navigation.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK and REST principles.
• Experience with Koin for dependency injection.
• Proficiency with architectural patterns (MVVM, MVP, or MVI).
• Experience writing unit and UI tests (JUnit, Mockito, Espresso).
• Practical experience with Kotlin Coroutines and Kotlin Flow.
• Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Knowledge of library publishing processes.
• Solid understanding of OOP and SOLID principles.
• Experience working with Git.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
