Andersen is hiring a Lead Cloud Engineer in the EU to manage an AWS environment, support cloud migration, and ensure secure, scalable infrastructure, including Kubernetes migration and Helm charts.
The customer is a leading Nordic company specializing in digital payment solutions for e-commerce. They offer a platform supporting various payment methods, including flexible options like "buy now, pay later," aiming to simplify transactions and foster growth for both small and large businesses. The company is listed on a major stock exchange and continues to expand across Europe.
The project is focused on managing an AWS environment, supporting cloud migration, and ensuring cost-efficient, secure, and scalable infrastructure. The engineer will assist with Kubernetes migration, including AWS permissions, Helm charts, and GitLab pipelines.
Technology stack: AWS, Kubernetes, Linux, Networking, DNS, GitLab CI/CD, Grafana, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the Lead Cloud Engineer, managing and optimizing our AWS ecosystem.
- Collaborating closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration and clear communication.
- Driving best practices for cost efficiency, security, and performance in AWS.
- Supporting and guiding engineering teams through cloud migration activities.
- Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues.
- Maintaining observability solutions, based on Grafana.
- Operating Kubernetes clusters to maintain high availability.
Requirements
- Experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar role for 4+ years.
- Proven experience in designing, operating, and optimizing AWS environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Advanced knowledge of Linux systems administration.
- Solid understanding of Networking and DNS principles.
- Practical experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms, ideally Grafana.
- Experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to developers.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues under pressure.
- Capable of taking ownership and acting as the primary point of contact for cloud operations.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
