Summary

Andersen is hiring an Android Developer in Kazakhstan. The project involves designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile and web apps with secure integrations.

The customer is one of the oldest and most reliable financial institutions in Kazakhstan, operating in the banking sector for over 30 years. It offers a full range of financial services for both individual and corporate clients, including business lending, mortgages, consumer loans, deposits, payment services, and digital banking solutions. The company focuses on reliability, innovation, and sustainable growth, helping clients achieve their financial goals and contributing to the country’s economic development.

The project is focused on designing a microservices-based banking platform for mobile apps and a web admin panel. It includes authentication, biometrics, card tokenization, payments, and integrations with external systems, ensuring secure and scalable interaction through API Gateway, microservices, and Data Lake.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining the client application in Kotlin for Android and adapting it for HarmonyOS; implementing features, refactoring, and optimization.
  • Designing modules, shared libraries, and abstractions to minimize duplication between Android and HarmonyOS.
  • Adapting the UI using Jetpack Compose and ArkUI/HarmonyOS declarative approaches; ensuring consistent UX across platforms.
  • Implementing and debugging cross-device scenarios (distributed services), including state synchronization between devices.
  • Integrating with backend services via RESTful APIs/OpenAPI, handling asynchronous operations, queues, and callbacks.
  • Testing: unit and UI tests.

Requirements

  • Commercial Kotlin development experience of 3.5+ years.
  • Strong experience with Android SDK, Jetpack (Compose/Views), and architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture).
  • Solid hands-on experience with gRPC.
  • Experience implementing security requirements in client-side applications.
  • Experience with HarmonyOS porting and working with DevEco Studio/ArkUI; practical experience with Kotlin Multiplatform.
  • Experience developing products in the banking/fintech domain.
  • Experience building applications from scratch.
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and OpenAPI.
  • Experience working with CI/CD (GitLab CI), including configuring pipelines with Android and HarmonyOS matrix builds; building Docker images for backend integrations.
  • Experience writing unit and UI tests.
  • Experience testing on HarmonyOS devices and configuring emulators / simulators in CI (device farms, test matrices).
  • Understanding of mobile security concepts: Android Keystore, Keychain analogues, BiometricPrompt, TLS pinning, and protection against reverse engineering.
  • Understanding of HarmonyOS distributed capabilities (distributed services) and their impact on synchronization, authorization, and networking scenarios.
  • Experience with packaging, signing, and release processes for both Android and the Harmony ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
