Frontend Developer (React) in the EU

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Frontend Developer (React) in the EU to rebuild a public train ticket booking platform with new web and mobile apps, focusing on UX and seamless integration with an existing booking backend.

The customer is an IT services and software development provider specializing in building modern cloud-based applications and custom digital solutions, including AI-driven products, mobile and web development, product design, and legacy system modernization. With experience delivering over a hundred projects across multiple industries, the company focuses on scalable high-performance architectures, agile delivery, real-world machine learning use cases, and continuous knowledge sharing within the professional community.

The project is focused on rebuilding a public-facing train ticket booking platform, including a new web solution, a mobile application, and the introduction of a content management system. The frontend team is fully responsible for delivering user experience and integrations with an externally maintained booking backend, with existing codebase and technical documentation provided to ensure fast onboarding.

Technology stack on the project: Next.js (App Router), React 18-19, TypeScript, React Query, Zustand, React Hook Form, i18n, Tailwind CSS, pnpm, date-fns, Zod, ESLint, Prettier, React Native.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining front-end applications using React (18–19) and Next.js (app directory).
• Building and supporting modern client-side solutions using TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Working with SPA and SSR architecture in production environments.
• Integrating and managing application state using Zustand.
• Handling server state and data fetching with React Query.
• Building and maintaining forms using React Hook Form.
• Implementing and maintainIng i18n for multilingual support.
• Styling applications using Tailwind CSS.
• Managing dependencies and project workflows using pnpm.
• Working with dates and validation using date-fns and Zod.
• Maintaining code quality with ESLint and Prettier.
• Contributing to testing and ensuring delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborating in English, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

• Experience in frontend development (including React) for 4+ years.
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and framework.
• Profound insight of experience with TypeScript, CSS and HTML.
• Experience building SPA and SSR applications.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, including AWS.
• Positive attitude to testing and delivering quality software.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with React Native.
• Experience with Node.js.
