Summary

Andersen is hiring a Salesforce Developer in the EU to build scalable solutions with complex integrations and data flows, delivering advanced UIs and seamless connectivity with eCommerce, finance, and custom platforms.

The customer is a fast-growing UK-based technology company delivering Salesforce solutions for nonprofits and education providers. The company is committed to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and invests time, profit, and expertise in advancing education, equality, and environmental preservation.

The project is focused on delivering scalable Salesforce solutions with a strong emphasis on complex integrations, data flows, and modern platform architecture, including the development of advanced user interfaces and seamless integration with external systems such as eCommerce, finance, and custom web or API platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and delivering high-quality, well-architected Salesforce solutions for mission-driven organizations.
  • Owning technical design and end-to-end delivery, from shaping integration approaches to build, testing, and deployment.
  • Working across multiple client engagements in close collaboration with Solution Architects, Functional Consultants, and Project Managers.
  • Building scalable Salesforce platform architecture to support complex data flows.
  • Developing modern Salesforce user interfaces, preferably using Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Implementing integrations between Salesforce and external systems such as eCommerce, finance/invoicing, content publishing, learning systems, and custom web/API layers.
  • Ingesting eCommerce orders into Salesforce from platforms such as Shopify or similar.
  • Implementing provisioning and entitlement management for third-party content and LMS platforms.
  • Building website and application integrations using Salesforce REST APIs with secure server-to-server authentication.
  • Synchronizing Salesforce with finance systems to update invoice and payment statuses.
  • Designing solutions for operational reliability, including retries, idempotency, safe reprocessing of failed transactions, monitoring, and maintaining support runbooks.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Salesforce Developer for 3+ years.
  • Strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, declarative automation (Flow), data modelling, security model, and deployment practices.
  • Proven experience delivering Salesforce integrations as a core part of your role, with hands-on API development and integration design.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, authentication approaches (OAuth/JWT), Named Credentials, rate limits, and asynchronous processing on the Salesforce platform.
  • Experience designing solutions that are robust in production, with clear approaches to error handling, monitoring, and support.
  • Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fully remote environment, managing priorities independently and collaborating effectively with distributed teams.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience building Lightning Web Components, including maintainable component design and use of Lightning base components.
  • Experience working with middleware, automation, or ETL tools used in real-world Salesforce integrations.
  • Experience delivering Salesforce solutions in regulated or data-sensitive environments.
  • Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I and/or II desirable).
  • Prior hands-on experience delivering Salesforce solutions for charities or nonprofit organisations.
