Andersen is hiring a System Administrator in the USA to support and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability for critical healthcare applications.
The customer is a technology company specializing in IT infrastructure modernization for organizations in the healthcare industry. The company helps healthcare providers transform complex enterprise systems by migrating critical applications and data platforms to modern cloud environments. Its services include consulting, architecture design, infrastructure optimization, and ongoing platform support, helping organizations improve system reliability, security, and scalability of their digital solutions.
The project is focused on building and optimizing a secure, scalable Azure-based cloud infrastructure to support critical healthcare applications, including EHR systems. The initiative ensures reliable operation, high availability, and continuous evolution of digital health services.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and resilient Azure cloud architectures for healthcare applications, focusing on high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance.
- Integrating cloud infrastructure with healthcare IT systems, including EHR platforms, clinical applications, and interface engines.
- Developing reusable Terraform modules and configurations with emphasis on standardization and repeatability.
- Implementing Azure-native security including Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Monitoring and optimizing performance of VMs, storage, and network throughput Track and managing cost efficiencies using reserved instances and resource rightsizing.
- Leading Azure migrations for healthcare applications, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Deploying and maintaining monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
- Building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with application lifecycles.
- Documenting infrastructure standards and deployment procedures in compliance with healthcare requirements.
Requirements
- Experience as a System Administrator for 3+ years.
- Experience designing and implementing highly available Azure applications for 3+ years.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform, for 2+ years.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- General proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Hands-on experience managing hybrid Windows environments including Active Directory and secure connectivity.
- Azure Administrator Associate or Solutions Architect Associate certification.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare specific compliance standards.
- Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A patient-first mindset with a focus on system reliability and security.
- Ability to commit exclusively to this engagement for the full contract term.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.
Desired skills
- Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent advanced certifications.
- Experience with EHRs and healthcare clinical systems.
- Proficiency with Azure networking, ExpressRoute, and Virtual WAN.
- Hands-on Azure Landing Zone implementation experience.
- Advanced scripting and DevOps experience (Terraform HCL, PowerShell, Git).
- Expertise in Azure Application Gateway and Load Balancer configurations.
- Experience architecting hybrid cloud environments using Azure Arc or ExpressRoute.
