Andersen is hiring a Data Quality and Lineage Lead in the EU for a project building a governed, scalable data platform focused on improving data quality, lineage tracking, and transparency across banking systems.
The customer is a financial services organization providing banking products and digital solutions for individual and business clients. The company operates through an established service network and online platforms and is part of a larger international financial group, supporting ongoing development of its services for a broad client base.
The project is focused on transforming the bank’s fragmented data landscape into a governed and scalable data foundation with near real-time capabilities. The initiative introduces data governance by design, federated data ownership, and business-oriented data products to improve analytics, operational efficiency, and regulatory transparency while enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Defining data quality dimensions (Accuracy, Completeness, Timeliness, Validity), set thresholds, and implementing automated scorecards and monitoring dashboards.
- Designing and documenting Tier 0 / Tier 1 lineage approaches to ensure clear traceability of critical data assets from source to consumption.
- Leading data quality issue triage, support remediation prioritization, and governing the quality improvement process across teams.
- Partnering with data engineering and BI teams to embed quality checks into ETL/ELT pipelines and ensure governance standards are met.
- Implementing and managing data quality and lineage tools (Collibra, Great Expectations, dbt, Alation, Atlan) to automate monitoring and ensure compliance.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for data quality rules, lineage mappings, and governance workflows.
- Ensuring data processes meet regulatory and audit requirements by establishing clear traceability and data validation protocols.
Requirements
- Experience in data quality, data governance, data analysis, or a related field for 7+ years, with a proven track record of implementing enterprise-wide data quality and data lineage solutions.
- Deep experience with governance platforms (Collibra + Ataccama) and data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, dbt).
- Strong understanding of the modern data stack, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), data warehouses (Databricks), and data lake formats (Delta Lake).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python (Pandas), and big data technologies (Apache Spark) for data profiling, validation, and analysis.
- Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to build quality dashboards and visualize data health metrics.
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and dimensional design for BI and data warehousing.
- Proven ability to define data quality dimensions, set thresholds, and design lineage approaches that ensure regulatory-grade traceability and auditability.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills. Ability to facilitate discussions between technical and business audiences, present findings, and drive governance alignment.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Azure Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or Azure Certified Business Intelligence.
