Andersen is hiring a Software Architect for a project integrating an insurance platform into the client’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment with existing systems and business processes.

The project is focused on integrating OneShield into the client’s ecosystem, ensuring seamless alignment with existing systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and support business operations.
Responsibilities
- Defining and maintaining the overall technical vision and system architecture aligned with business goals and IT strategy.
- Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
- Collaborating with development teams, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Providing hands-on technical guidance to developers and promoting best practices in architecture, coding, and DevOps.
- Evaluating and recommending technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Conducting architecture and design reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and architectural principles.
- Defining and documenting architectural blueprints, data models, and system interfaces.
- Overseeing implementation of architectural decisions throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensuring compliance with security, performance, and scalability standards.
- Supporting system integrations and ensuring consistency of data flows across applications.
- Working with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment architecture.
- Conducting impact assessments and providing effort and risk estimates for new initiatives.
- Supporting troubleshooting and performance optimization of production systems.
- Communicating technical strategies, risks, and roadmaps to stakeholders and senior management while promoting continuous architectural improvements.
Requirements
- Experience as a Software Architect for 4+ years.
- Strong background in software architecture and enterprise system design, preferably within the insurance or financial services domain.
- Proven expertise in Java Enterprise Edition, Spring Framework, and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with application servers (WildFly, Tomcat, JBoss) and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
- Excellent understanding of security principles, performance optimization, and scalability design.
- Skilled in Agile methodologies, with experience guiding teams through iterative delivery.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills to align cross-functional teams.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with practical implementation details.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with cloud-native and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with API Management platforms and frontend integration patterns.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), and DevOps best practices.
- Understanding of Agile practices such as TDD, BDD, Kanban, or XP.
- Previous experience acting as a technical lead or solution architect in complex enterprise environments.
