QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript)

Andersen is hiring a QA Automation Engineer (JavaScript) for a project developing an enterprise platform to streamline scheduling, collaboration, and document management for better productivity.

The customer is an international company delivering professional and technology-enabled solutions that support effective collaboration, structured communication, and operational efficiency for organizations. The project is focused on developing an enterprise meeting management platform that streamlines scheduling, collaboration, and document management. It enables organizations to improve communication, productivity, and data security through efficient coordination of meetings, tasks, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Creating the customer’s first automated testing framework using Playwright.
• Developing UI automation for React-based frontends.
• Writing and maintaining unit tests for .NET components (including legacy .NET 4.6 MVC logic).
• Defining testing processes, coverage strategy, and automation standards.
• Collaborating with developers to ensure testability of new and existing features.
• Performing manual testing, regression testing, and exploratory checks during the transition phase.
• Investigating defects, analyzing logs, replicating issues, and document findings.
• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintaining stable execution.
• Producing and maintaining structured test documentation and test reports.
• Participating in Agile ceremonies and supporting continuous quality improvements.

Requirements

• Experience as a QA Automation Engineer for 4+ years.
• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Ability to build an automation framework from scratch, as no existing testing framework is currently in place.
• Strong experience with Playwright for UI automation (preferred across the organization).
• Hands‑on experience designing test strategies, selecting tools, and defining automation architecture.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate issues, analyze logs, reproduce defects, and support engineering with clear root‑cause findings.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable, modular test code.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD processes and ability to integrate automated tests into the pipeline (Azure DevOps is a plus).
• Ability to perform manual and exploratory testing when automation is not yet implemented.
• Strong documentation skills (test plans, test cases, frameworks, SOPs).
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience writing unit tests in .NET (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest or similar).
• Understanding of testing legacy .NET 4.6 MVC applications and React frontends.
• Experience in testing financial or high‑risk transactional systems.
• API testing skills (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter).
• Experience using AI‑driven QA tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, TestGPT).
