Summary

Andersen is hiring a Data Scientist for a project building an AI platform for incident detection using computer vision, audio analysis, and machine learning.

The customer is an international mobility service provider offering a peer-to-peer model that allows users to negotiate travel conditions directly within the app. With a large global user base and operations spanning numerous cities worldwide, the organization is recognized for its focus on flexibility, accessibility, and the adaptation of its platform to diverse market environments.

The project is focused on building an AI-driven incident detection platform that automatically identifies, classifies, and escalates safety-related events. It leverages computer vision, audio analysis, and multimodal machine learning to ensure timely and accurate incident recognition.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models and systems.
  • Performing in‑depth data analysis, preparation, cleaning, and processing.
  • Contributing to the design of ML systems, with a focus on data‑related components such as annotation, labeling, and processing pipelines.
  • Following established security guidelines and proactively identify potential risks.
  • Collaborating with peers to review designs and ensure solutions are effective, scalable, flexible, and reusable.
  • Troubleshooting issues and providing meaningful feedback to improve engineering design and delivery processes.
  • Ensuring that features are delivered according to requirements and function as expected without unintended side effects.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for ML models, pipelines, and processes.
  • Monitoring deployed solutions and ensuring they meet performance and reliability expectations.
  • Actively seeking out information, reusable internal solutions, and opportunities to adopt common technologies across teams.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in the data science field for 3+ years; previous experience in software engineering.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and common data processing frameworks (supporting streaming, batch, and asynchronous workflows).
  • Solid foundational knowledge of classical machine learning, deep learning, and advanced mathematics supporting these areas.
  • Experience working with backend systems and infrastructure.
  • Ability to design solutions using established design patterns and various design tools.
  • Experience in experimental design and the ability to validate the credibility and reliability of information from different sources.
  • Strong understanding of the business value behind delivered features.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, relying on technical facts and sound reasoning.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including active listening and the ability to build consensus.
  • A continuous learning mindset, along with a desire to contribute to internal communities and share knowledge.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with MLOps principles and hands‑on experience with tools used to manage the ML lifecycle.
  • Experience working with willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., Golang) for integration needs.
