Summary

Andersen is looking for a Head of QA to lead QA strategy, implement automation and testing processes, and ensure high software quality across large-scale international projects.

Andersen is a pre-IPO software development company that provides a full cycle of services, following project management standards and best practices. For over 19 years, we have been helping enterprises and middle-sized firms transform their businesses by creating effective digital solutions using innovative technologies.

Immerse yourself in a global landscape as we collaborate with enterprises spanning North America, Western Europe, Israel, Australia, and the UAE. Our diverse expertise extends across FinTech, Healthcare, Retail, Telecom, Media & Entertainment, Logistics, Travel & Hospitality, eCommerce, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and specifying quality requirements for software products and IT services built on them.
  • Planning tasks, tools, resources, and required skills; estimating costs for quality assurance processes.
  • Optimizing QA costs and managing quality requirements through the balance of cost of quality, quality needs, and risks (techno-economic justification of quality requirements).
  • Defining and implementing QA methodologies across all stages of the software lifecycle.
  • Designing and implementing test automation processes, including selecting tools and frameworks.
  • Developing and implementing practices for non-functional testing (reliability, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, performance, recoverability, etc.).
  • Defining requirements and approaches to ensure testability of software products and IT services.
  • Specifying quality gates for CI/CD processes and selecting and evolving QA-specific tools and frameworks integrated into pipelines.
  • Leading QA teams, mentoring and training, developing competency matrices and growth paths.
  • Ensuring alignment of business requirements with testing processes in collaboration with architects and developers.
  • Analyzing and optimizing testing processes to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Researching and implementing tools, technologies, and practices to improve QA efficiency, reduce effort, and enhance output quality.
  • Developing and implementing templates for QA project artifacts and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience as a QA Architect, Lead QA, or Senior QA for 5+ years.
  • Experience directly managing a large QA team (20+ people) on long-term projects for 2+ years.
  • Responsibility for overall product quality, not just testing processes.
  • Ability to design and implement QA strategy for complex, large-scale systems.
  • Deep understanding of trade-offs between quality dimensions and the effort required to ensure them across different types of software products and IT services.
  • Ability to clearly communicate the relationship between business needs, fulfilled/unfulfilled quality requirements, and risks, providing actionable recommendations at a consulting level.
  • Hands-on experience optimizing QA and development/support processes with a focus on quality across all levels: organizational/process, methodologies/templates, QA skill requirements, automation tools, and efficiency tools aligned with current trends.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB, TMap, etc.) and quality management practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, etc.).
  • Experience writing test documentation (test plans, test cases, scenarios).
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of REST API principles, microservices architecture, and integration processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify key quality issues and propose optimal solutions.
  • Experience participating in digital transformation initiatives in large enterprise environments.
  • Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Experience working with high-load systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into testing processes.
  • Experience implementing QA efficiency tools, including those leveraging generative AI capabilities.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
