SAP Engineer / Consultant (with German language)

Andersen is hiring an SAP Engineer / Consultant with German for a project supporting automotive operations, integrating manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain processes.

The customer is a large international technology provider delivering end-to-end digital solutions for enterprise-level organizations. The project is focused on delivering SAP developments for global automotive operations, integrating manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain processes. It supports production planning, quality tracking, and real-time data exchange to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for the end-to-end architecture, further development, and modernization of a complex SAP HANA production system, including software, infrastructure components, and relevant interfaces.
• Analyzing, discussing, and presenting audience‑appropriate architecture proposals in close coordination with stakeholders.
• Adopting and localizing corporate SAP strategies, while actively contributing to digital transformation initiatives.
• Supporting incident management and monitoring integrations with peripheral systems.
• Executing system updates and patches to ensure stability and security.
• Ensuring compliance with corporate, security, and audit standards, including SAP hardening.
• Supporting process owners and development teams in requirements analysis and solution design of future-proof end-to-end solutions through implementation and handover to operations.
• Leading SAP migration, upgrade, and transformation projects.
• Monitoring and technically supporting integrations with third-party systems and SAP interfaces to other systems in cloud, hybrid, and on‑premise environments.
• Defining and further developing governance frameworks, architecture standards, and guidelines for SAP architecture.
• Contributing recommendations for continuous improvement and implementing best practices.

Requirements

• Proven track record in delivering complex solutions based on SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and AI/ML for 5+ years, including confident navigation of modern SAP technology stacks.
• Comprehensive architectural understanding across all SAP S/4HANA layers: database, application, integration, compliance, and security.
• Strong technical expertise in security architectures, automation, deployment patterns, and enterprise‑level integration models.
• Extensive experience integrating SAP S/4HANA with complex third‑party and surrounding systems (middleware, APIs, event‑driven architectures); SAP PO or SAP Integration Suite is a clear advantage.
• Strong proficiency in SAP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and a solid understanding of modern data and analytics platforms such as SAP Datasphere.
• Experience in incident, problem, and change management, with a strong and consistent focus on quality and system stability across the entire SAP lifecycle.
• High communication skills, strong team collaboration, and assertiveness in dynamic, agile environments.
• Strong innovative mindset, creative problem‑solving abilities, and a deep understanding of both business and end‑user perspectives.
• Independent, proactive, and structured working style in multidisciplinary teams, combined with high adaptability in fast‑changing environments.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
• Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
