SAP BTP ABAP Cloud Developer (EU)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a SAP BTP ABAP Cloud Developer (EU) for a project building cloud integrations between SAP systems and external platforms for billing and customer services.

The customer is a well-established international organization operating across multiple industries and markets, delivering a broad range of digital, operational, and business solutions. The company is focused on innovation, process optimization, secure scalable systems, and modernization of internal platforms. Its strategic initiatives aim to improve efficiency, enhance user experience, and support sustainable long-term transformation.

The project is focused on building and maintaining a cloud-based integration landscape for a large telecommunications company using SAP Integration Suite. The main goal was to integrate multiple internal SAP systems (S/4HANA and ECC) with external platforms and partner services to support digital customer services, billing, and order management processes.

Responsibilities

• Working independently and taking ownership of development tasks.
• Documenting technical decisions and implementation details.
• Thinking in terms of maintainability, reliability, and supportability.

Requirements

• Experience with backend development in a modern SAP cloud project for 3+ years.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP Cloud.
• Experience with RAP.
• Experience with CDS-based data modelling.
• Experience with OData services.
• Experience with Application Jobs.
• Experience with Communication Arrangements.
• Experience with Service Consumption Models.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to write clean and maintainable code.
• Understanding of SAP BTP development constraints.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Knowledge of German.
• Experience with unit testing and testable code design.
• Experience with SAP BTP IAM, business roles, and business catalogs.
• Experience with performance-aware CDS and ABAP development.
• Experience with integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP C4C, or other SAP cloud/on-premises systems.
• Basic understanding of SAP Fiori Elements or SAPUI5.
• Experience with Fiori Elements backend enablement.
• Experience with value helps, annotations, and metadata-driven UI behavior.
