System Analyst (Astana, Kazakhstan)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System Analyst in Astana for a project developing digital platforms, integration solutions, and scalable services within a modern financial ecosystem.

The customer is a financial institution providing a wide range of services for individual and corporate clients. The company is undergoing an active digital transformation, focusing on mobile and online banking, modernization of legacy systems, and implementation of scalable architectures. It is also investing in fintech solutions, API integrations, and the development of ecosystem-driven products, while continuously improving engineering practices and development processes.

The project is focused on digitalizing agricultural services through a unified platform that integrates banking and external sector systems. It includes building high-load integration solutions, simplifying access to digital services, and creating a scalable foundation for future analytics, data, and AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conducting discovery sessions and workshops.
• Gathering, analyzing, and structuring business requirements.
• Analyzing As-Is processes based on audit findings and designing/reengineering To-Be processes within the agricultural domain, with a focus on digitalization and minimizing the number of steps required to achieve target business outcomes.
• Preparing and documenting user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, BPMN diagrams, and UML diagrams.
• Designing and defining integrations (REST APIs, asynchronous interactions, and event-driven workflows).
• Preparing functional and non-functional requirements.
• Decomposing business processes into manageable components and deliverables.
• Participating in scope management activities.
• Aligning and validating requirements with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience as a System Analyst for 5+ years.
• Experience in enterprise, govtech, fintech, or agritech projects.
• Strong proficiency in BPMN, UML, and sequence diagrams.
• Experience with API specifications and documentation.
• Experience in describing distributed systems, integrations, and event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of microservices, backend architecture, and API lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, Jira, and Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience in preparing technical specifications and requirements documentation for government IT systems.
• Ability to interpret and work with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Experience in business process reengineering and optimization.
• Experience with agricultural and registry management systems.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience working with databases.
• Experience collaborating closely with architecture teams and participating in solution design activities.
