Java Developer (Baku, Azerbaijan)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Java Developer in Baku for a project developing digital customer engagement solutions and scalable platforms that support sales, marketing, and business growth.

The customer is a technology provider delivering digital infrastructure, connectivity, and business solutions for corporate and individual customers. It focuses on innovation, cloud and network services, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. The project is focused on enhancing digital customer engagement and sales platforms by supporting targeted marketing campaigns and device financing services. It includes developing audience segmentation capabilities, communication workflows, installment plan management, contract generation, and integrations with customer verification and credit assessment services.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining high-load microservices and backend solutions.
• Designing and evolving system architecture in accordance with DDD principles and a microservices approach.
• Developing and optimizing data processing solutions, ensuring system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Conducting code, requirements, and technical solution reviews, including impact analysis and risk assessment.
• Developing and maintaining automated tests, ensuring the quality and security of software solutions.
• Ensuring system availability and reliability in line with SRE principles, and contributing to the development of architectural and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Experience in Java development (Java 11, 17, and 21) for 3+ years.
• Knowledge of data structures (including Java standard library collections) and system design principles.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, and ClickHouse).
• Experience working with Kafka.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience working with infrastructure tools (Docker, CI/CD).
• Experience reviewing requirements, technical specifications, code, and changes, including impact analysis and risk assessment.
• Experience with and understanding of automated testing at different levels.
• Knowledge of information security and cybersecurity best practices, including Spring Security.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Understanding of SRE goals and practices related to system availability and reliability.
• Experience designing systems in accordance with DDD standards.
