Summary

Andersen is seeking a Platform Business Analyst / Technical Product Owner for a project improving platform governance, scalability, and operational efficiency across shared services.

The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.

The project is focused on centralizing and standardizing the management of shared platform services across the organization. It involves establishing operational processes, maintenance practices, service roadmaps, and governance frameworks to improve reliability, scalability, and collaboration between platform and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Transitioning 10–20 shared services from standalone to a managed Core Platform model — capturing ownership, health, and readiness for each (brand services, payment gateway, rules engine, profile service/ACAVE, media service, access control API, TripArc Core C# library, Nexus component library, and others).
  • Managing multiple parallel backlogs across services, prioritising under competing demands.
  • Defining and maintaining a maintenance cadence and scheduled upgrades — assembling the right engineering resources, scheduling work, and tracking it to completion.
  • Developing forward-looking roadmaps across the service portfolio.
  • Documenting service contracts, integration patterns, and architectural decisions in Confluence (data flow diagrams, dependency maps, API summaries, decision logs).
  • Eliciting and maintaining cross-cutting requirements spanning multiple squads; surface shared dependencies early.
  • Coordinating with Infrastructure/DevOps on Azure/AKS, platform performance, and CI/CD.
  • Maintaining the AI Commons (shared repository of AI configuration, role guides, and skill packs across Copilot/Codex, Claude, Cursor).
  • Ensuring decisions and status land clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Product Owner, or solutions-focused role on software delivery teams for 4+ years.
  • Comfortable reading REST API documentation, OpenAPI/Swagger specs, and data models.
  • SQL fluency sufficient to support integration analysis and data validation.
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, and API design principles.
  • Familiarity with Azure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD — enough to ask the right questions and track the right work.
  • Exposure to NServiceBus or equivalent messaging infrastructure is an asset.
  • Hands-on with Jira and Confluence as a daily operating environment.
  • Actively uses AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or equivalent) as a standard part of how they work.
  • Experience with AI governance or shared AI configuration management is a meaningful differentiator.
  • Strong documentation instincts — produces artefacts that reduce ambiguity, not just record discussions.
  • Comfortable facilitating cross-functional conversations.
  • Able to hold a platform-level view while engaging at the detail a developer or architect needs.
  • Experienced managing multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

  • Travel, e-commerce, logistics, or marketplace platform environments.
  • MongoDB aggregation pipelines or document-oriented schema design.
  • Prior platform-level or architecture-support BA role.
