Requirements Conflicts: The Hidden Threat to Success

About the topic

Requirements conflicts occur in almost all projects – which is not a flaw – and ignoring them can ruin the whole product or endeavor. Requirements are usually elicited from different sources, departments, and many different people, by using different elicitation techniques and covering different levels of abstraction and detail. This often leads to conflicting requirements that are identified during validation and review, when trying to reach a shared understanding of the new product or service among all involved stakeholders. This session will focus on strategies for identifying, managing, and resolving conflicts to ensure a consistent, agreed, and robust set of requirements.
