About the topic
How do you define design success in your team? Many companies struggle to understand how to assess the value of UX, and how to translate specific business objectives with design initiatives. In this workshop, we’ll dive into UX metrics, design KPIs, and a workflow to reduce guesses and hunches and prioritze work based on the impact of design to meet business goals. In this session, we’ll explore how to establish team-specific design KPIs, track them effectively, and integrate accountability and ownership for these metrics into your design process. We’ll discover how to translate ambiguous objectives into practical goals, how to make sense of OKRs, SUS, UMUX-Lite, TPI, KPI trees, feedback scoring, gap analysis, and the Kano model, and how to choose the right UX research method to get better results. Let’s dive in!
About the speaker
Vitaly is a UX Lead who has been working with mid-size and large organizations for over 19 years, helping improve the UX of complex systems, the accessibility, the performance, and the design of their digital experiences. Among many others, he has been working with the European Parliament, OTTO, Zalando, Marc O'Polo, Axel Springer SE, and REWE Digital. Vitaly is the author, co-author, and editor of all Smashing Books (https://www.smashingmagazine.com/books) and a curator of all Smashing Conferences (https://www.smashingconf.com). He is currently the Creative Lead of Smashing Magazine (www.smashingmagazine.com) and a Front-end/UX Consultant in Europe and abroad, working with the European Parliament, Haufe-Lexware, Axel-Springer, and a few other companies.
