Junior Java Developer (Oman)

The international IT сompany Andersen invites a Junior Java Developer in Oman to work on large-scale projects.

This position requires working on-site in Oman.

Responsibilities

• Building scalable, highly available, robust systems and ensuring their continuous delivery.
• Working alongside other backend engineers to design, develop, deploy and maintain features of our platform.
• Working on our current Product platform built using DDD, CQRS techniques and a microservice architecture.
• Working as part of an Agile cross-functional team made of no more than 10 people.
• Becoming a member and owning our backend engineering culture, learning from other talented people.

Requirements

• Experience as a Java Developer for 1-2+ years.
• Practical knowledge of the latest Java features, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and MySQL (or other RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, OracleDB, etc).
• Experience with transaction-heavy systems and tools such as Docker.
• Appreciate the concepts and principles underlying open-source culture and good software development practices.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience working with distributed systems, messaging, microservices and tools such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Experience with CQRS, DDD, TDD, NoSQL databases and event sourcing.
• Experience in CI/CD and DevOps knowledge: Jenkins, Kubernetes, Google Cloud (GCP) and other cloud technologies (Azure / AWS).
