Junior Android Developer

Summary

The IT company Andersen invites a Junior Android Developer to work on a project in the field of FinTech for one of our German customers.

The customer is a world leader in insurance and B2B2C support, which offers global solutions that span international health and life insurance, travel insurance, cars, and their service. The company is dedicated to delivering world-class, agile, and sustainable IT solutions, driving full-spectrum digitalization.

The project is a mobile application for the insurance sector, offering customers seamless access to policy information, streamlined claim processing, and personalized services.

Technological stack on the project: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Hilt, GSON, Room, OkHttp 3, Retrofit, Kotlin Coroutines, MVI, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Perf, Firebase Remote Config.

Responsibilities

• Developing new functionalities.
• Collaborating on the creation of technical and business solutions and metrics.
• Conducting code refactoring and participating in code reviews.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of applications in a production environment.
• Code refactoring.

Requirements

• Commercial or internship experience as an Android Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience in building modern UI with Jetpack Compose.
• Experience in network communication using OkHttp 3.
• Familiarity with JSON parsing using GSON.
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration using Retrofit.
• Understanding of asynchronous programming with Kotlin Coroutines.
• Familiarity with Firebase for backend services.
• Knowledge of Model-View-Intent (MVI) architecture pattern.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
