Summary

The international IT company Andersen invites a Junior Backend Developer (.NET) to work with our customers from Europe.

The customer is a global leader in English language education. With over 25 schools in 7 countries, the company offers immersive English learning experiences in top destinations such as London, New York, Toronto, Dublin, and Cape Town. The company has helped over 1 million students from more than 120 countries improve their English skills.

The project is a system where users input up-to-date prices for accommodation, education, transfers, fees, and other services required during the tour booking process.

Technology stack: .NET, SQL, microservices, Microsoft Service Bus, Microsoft Service Fabric, Azure, CI/CD.

Responsibilities

  • Developing end-to-end software solutions, including backend components, to meet business requirements.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in .NET Core and .NET, leveraging these technologies to build scalable and robust applications.
  • Utilizing strong capabilities in SQL, particularly with Microsoft SQL, to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
  • Working with complex business rules and logic to implement efficient and effective solutions.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining components within a microservice architecture, ensuring scalability and modularity.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members using version control systems like Git for code management and tracking changes.

Requirements

  • Experience as a .NET Developer, with a focus on .NET, SQL, and microservices, for 1-2+ years.
  • Skills in writing unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices in software development.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment processes.
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Hands-on experience with message queuing systems, such as Microsoft Service Bus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Service Fabric.
  • Experience in the DevOps domain, especially with Azure DevOps and Azure apps, to streamline the software development lifecycle.
