Technical Writer (Germany/Switzerland)

Summary

Andersen is looking for a Technical Writer (in Germany/Switzerland) with knowledge of German for a Swiss climate-tech project. The role involves documenting a platform that visualizes and analyzes real-time energy data to support climate planning and decision-making.

The customer is Swiss climate-tech company. It enables municipalities, utilities, and corporate clients to plan and visualize their energy usage, emissions, and infrastructure development using big data, artificial intelligence, and advanced analytics. With offices in Switzerland and Germany, the team combines expertise in energy, software development, and UX design.

The project is focused on developing an innovative digital platform that provides comprehensive, real-time energy data for cities, municipalities, and regions. It visualizes key performance indicators in a geographic context, enabling transparent monitoring of energy efficiency initiatives over time and simulation of strategic planning scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Independently analyzing and structuring technical and functional requirements.
• Creating Epics, User Stories, and technical specifications in close coordination with development teams and the client.
• Supporting requirements prioritization and roadmap planning.
• Acting as an interface between the customer, Product Owner, UI/UX, and Engineering.
• Ensuring traceability and consistency of all requirements.
• Contributing to the development of API specifications and system architecture documentation.
• Assisting in testing activities.

Requirements

• Experience as a Technical Writer and Technical Business Analyst for 2+ years.
• Solid understanding of modern web architectures (Cloud, APIs, Microservices, etc.).
• Practical experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Independent, structured, and communicative working style.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
• Level of German – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Knowledge in the field of energy or network management domains.
