Lead Backend Developer (.NET)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Lead Backend Developer (.NET) for a U.S.-based project with a global travel payment provider. The role involves building a modern payment platform to optimize merchant operations.

The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world’s airlines. The network consists of major airlines that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of merchants around the world for air, rail, cruise and travel agency payments.

The project is a payment technology that will enhance the efficiency and profitability of merchant payment operations through a comprehensive, airline-centric payment platform.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Participating in software design, ensuring scalability and security.
• Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Debugging and troubleshooting issues to maintain application reliability.
• Developing unit tests and ensuring software functionality through collaboration with QA analysts.
• Optimizing application performance and implementing necessary improvements.
• Utilizing version control systems for effective code management.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for applications.
• Staying updated on industry trends and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in backend development using .NET for 4+ years.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• Experience working with a comprehensive set of payment functions: credit card payments, AFP, tokenization, risk tools, smart routing, and failover capabilities.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel integration and payment ecosystem architecture.
• Experience integrating and maintaining solutions across multiple PSPs and payment methods.
• Familiarity with merchant dashboards, payment reconciliation processes, and data flow optimization in payment pipelines.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, GDPR, and PSD2.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Knowledge of AML and KYC regulations.
