Backend Developer (Node.js)

Summary

Andersen is seeking an experienced Backend Developer (Node.js) for a project with a Cyprus-based iGaming provider. The role involves developing a B2B platform used across multiple regulated markets, focusing on performance and scalability.

The customer is a leading B2B provider of iGaming platforms and turnkey solutions, operating under 16 licenses across 12 regulated markets including Sweden, Denmark, Greece, and Ontario. The company has grown to over 1,000 employees and delivers advanced technology products such as casino, sportsbook, affiliate, and payment platforms, all powered by a proprietary gamification system that significantly boosts player engagement and operator revenues. Recognized with multiple industry awards for innovation, retention, and leadership, the customer is known for rapid market entry, cloud-native infrastructure, and a strong commitment to responsible gaming and sustainability.

The project is developing a B2B casino and sportsbook platform.

Responsibilities

• Developing an in-house platform.
• Integrating 3rd party APIs.
• Actively participating in developing new features from scratch.

Requirements

• Experience in development for 5+ years.
• Commercial experience with Node.js and Nest.js for 3+ years.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and the ECMAScript 6 standards
• Commercial experience of implementing REST, GraphQL and WebSocket.
• Understanding of the TDD principles and experience of writing tests.
• Commercial experience of working with high loaded SQL or NO SQL databases.
• ️ Understanding of microservice architecture principles.
• Experience of GIT version control system.
• Experience with databases MongoDB, MySQL.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Experience with Redis.
• Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Hands-on experience developing over CI/CD/Micro Services architecture/Containers for 2+ years.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with NATS.
• Experience with TypeScript.
