Summary

Andersen is looking for a Junior QA Engineer for a FinTech project. The role involves testing solutions for a platform focused on smarter, more transparent payments and financial services.

The customer is an award-winning, high-growth financial technology company delivering intelligent real-time treasury management solutions to global companies with complex business requirements and multiple moving parts, such as assets, staff, and finances. The company’s loyal client base comprises over 2,600 corporate clients, including the highly lucrative marine, aviation, music, and film production sectors.

The project is a new dimension to the banking landscape with unique technology and unrivalled expertise. The goal is to make global payments, treasury and foreign-exchange services smarter and more transparent.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing requirements and specifications to ensure testability.
  • Designing and executing manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
  • Reporting and tracking defects and working closely with developers to resolve issues.
  • Participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Providing feedback on usability, functionality, and performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Manual QA Engineer or similar role for 6 months.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans.
  • Ability to identify, document, and track bugs using tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Knowledge of different types of testing: functional, regression, integration, smoke, exploratory, and UAT.
  • Familiarity with web application testing.
  • Basic understanding of databases and ability to write simple SQL queries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

  • Familiarity with mobile application testing.
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
  • Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with tools like Postman or Swagger for API testing.
