Andersen is looking for a DevOps Engineer for a project with an international banking group. The role focuses on supporting digital banking development to enhance online services and the retail customer experience.
The customer is a leading international banking group, operating for over four decades across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The organization provides a wide range of services, including corporate banking, trade finance, treasury solutions, Islamic banking, and retail banking, with physical branches in five countries and a fast-growing fully digital mobile bank. It is recognized for its commitment to digital transformation through dedicated innovation units and digital platforms, including a fully digital retail bank.
The project is focused on enhancing digital banking channels and expanding online banking services. A key area of development is the retail segment, where the team will work on improving and delivering new digital solutions to enhance the customer experience and broaden the bank’s retail offerings.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments.
- Building and deploying automation, monitoring, and analysis solutions.
- Managing our continuous integration and delivery pipeline to maximize efficiency.
- Implementing industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
- Securing, scaling, and managing Linux virtual environments.
- Developing and maintaining solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.
- Continuously evaluating existing systems with industry standards and making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in software development, systems engineering, or a similar role for 2+ years.
- Experience in Linux administration for 2+ years.
- Strong knowledge of configuration management tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Bash and Python.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
- Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
- Experience in using Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- An ability to drive to goals and milestones while valuing and maintaining a strong attention to details.
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
