Responsibilities
- Analyzing and specifying quality requirements for software products and related IT services.
- Planning tasks, tools, resources, and skills; estimating quality assurance process costs.
- Optimizing QA-related costs and managing quality requirements through the cost–quality–risk balance; technically and economically justifying quality expectations.
- Defining and implementing quality assurance methodologies throughout the entire software lifecycle.
- Developing and implementing test automation processes, including selecting tools and frameworks.
- Developing and applying non-functional testing practices – ensuring reliability, scalability, availability, fault tolerance, performance, and recoverability.
- Defining and implementing requirements to ensure testability of software products and services.
- Specifying quality gate requirements for CI/CD processes; selecting and evolving CI/CD-integrated QA tools and frameworks.
- Leading QA engineers, mentoring and training team members, and developing competence matrices and growth paths.
- Ensuring alignment of business requirements with testing processes by collaborating with architects and developers.
- Analyzing and optimizing testing processes to improve product efficiency and quality.
- Researching and implementing tools and technologies to improve QA engineer efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Creating and maintaining templates for QA artifacts and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Architect, Lead QA, or Senior QA for 5+ years.
- Deep and broad understanding of the trade-offs between various quality aspects and the effort required to ensure them across different types of software products and IT services.
- Ability to articulate the relationship and risks between “business need” and “ensured/missing quality requirement,” and to provide clear, consultant-level recommendations to management.
- Hands-on, current experience in optimizing QA-related costs and improving development and maintenance processes through quality initiatives – at the organizational, methodological, skillset, and tooling levels.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (ISTQB, TMap, etc.) and quality management principles.
- Proficiency with test automation tools (Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman, etc.).
- Experience writing test documentation: test plans, test cases, and scenarios.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies; experience in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of REST API, microservice architecture, and integration processes.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify critical quality issues and propose optimal solutions.
- Participation in digital transformation projects for large enterprise companies.
- Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr).
- Experience working with high-load systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into the QA process.
- Experience implementing QA engineer efficiency tools, including those based on generative AI capabilities.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
