Andersen is seeking a Java Developer for a FinTech project with a German customer. The role involves maintaining services that support mobile and web applications in the banking sector, ensuring stability and ongoing development.
The customer is a technology company that has been developing in the field of financial technology since 2002. It builds payment infrastructure and provides innovative payment products and transactional services on the African continent to private individuals and companies. The head office is located in Lagos, Nigeria.
The project is to maintain services involved in the supporting of mobile and web applications for the banking sector.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining backend services.
- Designing and optimizing microservices architecture
- Implementing secure and reliable RESTful APIs.
- Ensuring code quality through unit and integration tests, as well as code reviews.
- Working with databases, including data modeling and Liquibase migrations.
- Integrating Redis for caching and Kafka/message brokers for real-time processing.
- Deploying applications to remote servers.
- Contributing to architectural decisions in FinTech/Banking projects.
- Ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience as a Java Developer for 3+ years.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Proven background in FinTech projects and banking applications.
- Hands-on experience in backend service development, microservices architecture, and RESTful API design.
- Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Redis, and Kafka.
- Level of English – from Intermediate.
Desired skills
- Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault and immuDb.
- Knowledge of encryption/security practices and PCI compliance.
