System/Business Analyst

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System/Business Analyst for a global digital payments leader. The role involves developing a secure, scalable credit card management system for a major Azerbaijani bank.

The project is the development of a new credit card management system for a major bank in Azerbaijan, seamlessly integrated into the existing digital ecosystem. It is a large-scale initiative focused on building a secure, high-performance, and scalable platform to ensure efficient credit card lifecycle management and support the expansion of lending services.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with business stakeholders and technical team to analyze, gather, and document requirements for credit card management systems.
• Translating business needs into functional specifications, technical requirements, and process workflows.
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, user guides, and system manuals to support development, architect and testing teams.
• Collaborating with developers, architects, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.
• Supporting end-to-end project lifecycle: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Designing and validating data models aligned with credit cards and integration with the payment systems.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 8583) and best practices in system design.
• Participating in system integration initiatives, ensuring smooth interoperability between card platforms and core banking systems.
• Providing knowledge transfer, training, and documentation to end-users and support teams.

Requirements

• Professional experience for 7+ years, with at least 3-5 years dedicated to the credit and/or cards business domain (either as a Developer, Business Analyst, or Architect).
• Strong knowledge of credit card core processes and lending management systems, including ISO 8583 & card processing flows, installment cards.
• Direct experience with payment platforms such as OpenWay, Compass, or Ocean.
• Proven hands-on experience in credit card management systems, with direct involvement in end-to-end projects (must have worked on real and recent implementations).
• Strong expertise in credit card core processes and lending management systems, including processing and core banking interaction, end-of-day processing, interest calculation, delinquency handling, and payment schedules/re-schedules.
• Solid experience in designing and implementing data models for credit card systems.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed system analysis and prepare technical documentation aligned with business requirements.
• Direct experience collaborating with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Deep understanding of architectural patterns (microservices, serverless, event-driven).
• Proficiency in designing scalable, secure, high-availability, and high-performance systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, both technical and business-facing.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+.

Desired skills

• Experience with core banking platforms (e.g., FlexCube, Temenos, etc.).
• Hands-on involvement in system integration projects, particularly with OpenWay and FlexCube.
