Andersen is seeking a DevOps Engineer (AWS) to help develop a cloud-native travel payment platform, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency with CI/CD, IaC, and advanced monitoring practices.
The customer is a global corporate travel payment solution owned and operated by the world’s leading airlines. Its network includes major carriers that issue charge cards accepted by thousands of travel-related merchants worldwide, covering air, rail, cruise, and agency payments. The platform also enables airlines to accept multiple payment methods, including alternatives, via integrated processing partners within the customer’s network.
The project is the development of a cloud-native payment platform for merchant services, built on AWS to provide secure, efficient, and scalable payment processing with robust CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and security practices.
Responsibilities
- Designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform) for AWS.
- Automating the provisioning, configuration, and management of AWS resources (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, EKS/ECS, IAM, etc.).
- Building, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of the application components and infrastructure.
- Integrating SAST, SCA, DAST, and other security scanning tools into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Ensuring seamless integration with SCM (Git), artifact repositories, and orchestration platforms.
- Managing and monitoring AWS environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implementing and managing containerization strategies.
- Configuring networking, security groups, VPCs, and IAM policies to ensure secure and isolated environments.
- Implementing and managing robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for the platform (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Ensuring effective collection, aggregation, and analysis of logs for troubleshooting and security monitoring.
- Implementing and enforcing security best practices in the cloud environment and CI/CD pipelines.
- Managing secrets securely using AWS Secrets Manager or similar tools.
- Collaborating with Security Architects on implementing security controls and policies.
- Assisting in security audits and compliance efforts (PCI DSS, GDPR).
- Working closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to support their infrastructure and deployment needs.
- Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.
- Participating in architectural discussions and providing input on infrastructure and operational feasibility.
Requirements
- Experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role for 4+ years.
- Proven, hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including core services like EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS/ECS.
- Strong experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline).
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python).
- Experience with SCM tools (Git).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPC, Load Balancers).
- Familiarity with security concepts like IAM, security groups, secrets management.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Level of English – Intermediate+ and above.
