Andersen is seeking a QA Engineer with German for testing a property insurance platform of a German consulting firm.
The customer is a German consulting firm specializing in organizational and digital transformation for private and public sector clients. With deep expertise in technology consulting, data management, and CIO advisory, the company helps organizations implement mission-critical change initiatives that enhance efficiency and growth. The project involves testing a new platform for property insurance. The goal is to evaluate its functionality, performance, and user experience to ensure it meets the business and technical requirements before launching.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing business and system requirements (policies, claims, billing, underwriting) to define manual test scenarios.
- Designing and maintaining detailed test cases and test scenarios for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Executing manual testing of insurance applications (policy administration systems, claims management, customer portals).
- Validating business rules for policy issuance, premium calculations, renewals, cancellations, endorsements, and claims processing.
- Preparing and managing test data covering various insurance products, customer types, and claim situations.
- Performing system integration testing with external services (payment providers, reinsurance systems, government databases).
- Performing UI and usability testing for customer-facing applications (portals, mobile apps).
- Ensuring compliance and regulatory testing (e.g., GDPR, Solvency II, local insurance regulations).
- Conducting exploratory testing to identify edge cases and unexpected behaviors.
- Loging, tracking, and verifying defects, working closely with developers and business analysts.
- Participating in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) support, assisting business users with test scenarios and defect reproduction.
- Providing clear test documentation and test reports for stakeholders.
- Mentoring junior testers, reviewing their test cases, and sharing domain knowledge.
- Contributing to release readiness by providing risk-based assessments of test coverage and product quality.
- Staying updated with insurance domain workflows to ensure effective test coverage.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Engineer or QA Analyst for 4+ years.
- Experience in Insurance domain.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
- Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
